There are nightmares.
We all try to ignore them,
think them dreams,
fantasies or constructs in
our heads.
But they are not abstract,
and dwell not in our minds.
They are not imaginary,
or fantastic finds.
They greet us with our morning coffee,
and ride with us to work or school.
They wrap up with us,
during weekends on the couch.
They move the floorboards,
when we are alone in the house.
Face them or be owned by them.
