Let down, replace. Let down, repeat.

I got stuck, deep

in your web of lies,

clinging for dear life

as our boat capsized.

I bought in, to the

pitch you were sellin’,

Holding tight to the

bouquet that was dyin’.

You’re a let down,

but you wont be the last one.

You’re a let down baby,

and you thought I was done.

I couldn’t escape from

the pull of your smile.

Not noting you lit

our funeral pyre.

I couldn’t get past

your alluring kiss.

Falling to sense

something amiss.

You’re a let down,

but you aren’t the only one.

You’re a let down darlin,

and I wont come undone.

I allowed you,

to manipulate.

Ignoring such a

precarious state.

I thought we both,

swam in the same brook.

But you cast the line, and

I swallowed the hook.

You’re a let down,

I thought you were the one.

All you are is a let down,

I’m glad that you’re gone.

Humbly yours,

J
